Irrigation Strategy
We are currently staging irrigation cuts weekly. Each week, we reduce watering to areas in order to determine the optimal level of watering to minimize
invasive weeds, maintain habitat, and prevent pocket gopher nests. Certain areas will be replaced with drought-tolerant plants or converted into hardscape.
North Bowl
This area is watered minimally in order to minimize invasive weeds, maintain habitat and prevent pocket gophers from introducing nests. As a result, the area will slowly turn browner over time with fewer green areas.

Carol Tomlinson-Keasey Quad
The quad area is carefully monitored and minimally watered to reduce invasive weeds and keep the trees alive.

Sidewalk Turf Areas
Turf may be removed from certain sidewalk areas in the upcoming months. Again, our goal is to distress the turf without destroying the trees.
